Paralegal

Cannella Snyder is looking for a paralegal to join our growing plaintiffs’ firm in downtown Decatur, GA. Our firm focuses on high-level, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, and whistleblower cases. Qualifications include not only excellent organization and task management, but also the ability to think strategically and critically alongside a team of lawyers. The ideal candidate will have experience working on complex cases with large document productions, but exceptional applicants of any level of experience will be considered.

This is a salaried, full-time, in-office position reporting to Cannella Snyder’s partners, based in our Decatur office.

We need a paralegal to help our team throughout the entire litigation process. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage large document productions;
  • Prepare exhibit lists and pretrial orders;
  • Review documents;
  • Communicate with clients and potential clients;
  • Gather information for potential new cases;
  • Draft correspondence to insurance companies, medical providers, and government agencies;
  • Schedule meetings, depositions, and mediations;
  • Calendar and monitor deadlines;
  • Maintain digital and physical case files using our case management system;
  • Proofread and file pleadings;
  • Scan and file incoming mail, faxes, electronic pleadings, and other documents;
  • Communicate with courts, co-counsel, and clients;
  • Assist with marketing tasks;
  • Work collaboratively in a team atmosphere.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree with a paralegal studies certificate from an ABA-approved program.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of litigation experience in a law firm
